Being new to this industry a couple of years ago, it was interesting to observe the nuances amongst the various sectors of marine that we became involved with. From shipping, to towage, construction, ports and ship building - each offered various traits and cultures that were fascinating (and still are). One thing that did become evident was the occasional divide between the crew and the shore.
This wasn’t always the case, and it has been rewarding working with companies that have worked hard to successfully bridge that gap and develop a true collaborative environment and culture of both working towards a common purpose.
It is these successes that I want to focus on.
Many of you in sailing positions would have had the opportunity to work with a number of operators. I’m keen to hear of the positive experiences that have made their mark with you about leadership, and actions that have created a strong work ethic between shore and crew.
Whilst we talk about strong leaders we currently have two permanent positions available for such people – a General Manager role for a global shipping operator and an Operations Manager for a Transit Company. Please contact us directly for more details

Look forward to hearing your feedback and please pass this on if someone you know may be interested in these roles.
